Honestly didn't know where to start and this gave us a path. Three months on, we're okay.
I was sceptical about video sessions, thought it'd be impersonal. It wasn't. By session three she knew our boy and the written plan after every session became my little bible. The cost did make us think twice, but I'd still say go for it.
Good honest guidance. Pricey for a single income household but the bundle did work out cheaper than paying session by session, which is partly why we went for it. No regrets.
Our specialist Gemma was a former SENCO and it showed. She knew exactly how the school conversation would go and prepped us for it. We walked into that meeting calm for the first time.
Exhausted, overwhelmed, three other kids. The fact it was spread over a few weeks meant I could actually breathe between sessions and try things out rather than being firehosed with advice in one go. Best decision we made that term.
Telling family was the bit I dreaded. Rachel gave us actual scripts and we adapted them. Worked.
