Common questions

What actually happens at an annual review?
It's the yearly meeting where school, you and the local authority check whether the EHCP still fits — and whether the outcomes and provision need to change. It's your main chance each year to get the plan updated, so it's worth going in prepared.
How do I write good parent views?
Parent views carry real weight, but only if they're specific. Your specialist helps you turn what you see at home into clear, concrete points the review can act on — not just 'they're struggling', but exactly where, and what would help.
Can I ask for changes — or more support?
Yes. The annual review is exactly where changes get made. We'll help you work out what's reasonable to ask for, how to evidence it, and how to phrase it so it's hard to wave away.
What does a session cost?
From £35 for a focused 25-minute check-in — usually all it takes to get ready for one meeting. If there's a lot to untangle, the full 45-minute session is £60. No subscription either way.
Can we do this just before the meeting?
Often, yes — evening and weekend slots are available and many parents book a day or two ahead. Book as early as you can if your review is on a fixed date, so you get the slot you want.
