The research behind it
This programme is informed by the research behind the Children and Families Act 2014, the SEND Code of Practice 2015, and the First-tier Tribunal (SEND) process and its published statistics. Those statistics consistently show that the large majority of appeals parents pursue succeed or are conceded before the hearing, with preparation and strong evidence common to those cases, but no outcome is guaranteed. The appeal grounds and provision sought, set in your own words in session 1, become the yardstick for the outcome. Success means securing that provision through a decision or a settlement before the hearing.

Thorough and effective, and good value against the legal alternative. I'd just say go in knowing it's genuinely intensive, it's a lot of work between sessions too. But we won, so.

Common questions
What if we lose, or it does not work?
No one can guarantee a tribunal outcome. Most appeals that reach this stage succeed or settle, and a settlement before the hearing that gives you the provision sought counts as success. If the outcome falls short, your debrief will say so plainly, explain what the decision means, what could be revisited at annual review or through a fresh application, and when formal legal advice is the right next step.
Who attends, and are sessions online?
The programme is parent only and fully online, so your child does not attend. Sessions can fit around work, including evenings and weekends.
Is this legal representation, and do I need a solicitor?
This is specialist SEND and process support from a SEND-system specialist, not legal representation, diagnosis or treatment. Many families run an appeal with this support alone. In session 1, your specialist will say honestly if a point of law needs a solicitor, and will route clinical needs to your GP, the NHS or CAMHS.
What if my appeal is already under way, or the hearing is not 12 weeks away?
You can join at any stage. The week numbers show a typical map, but in session 1 your six sessions are planned backwards from your actual hearing date, then compressed or stretched to fit. The first session also checks the registration deadline: two months from the decision letter, or one month from a mediation certificate.
What does the programme cost?
The six sessions cost £360 all-in. Booked separately they would cost £480, so the programme saves you £120.
