My reception-age daughter took to the little speech sound games and now asks to play them. The online session genuinely worked for us — she treated the screen like a game. Really pleased.
Lovely specialist who clearly knew her field and gave us useful steers. It loses a point mainly because the video setup didn't help my shy one open up — I think in person she'd have got a truer picture. Still glad we did it.
Straight-talking and sent us away with a proper plan, no complaints on the advice. The only thing is I'd have preferred face-to-face — for speech it feels like the kind of thing where being in the room matters more than most.
Solid help with my son's late talking and the home strategies are simple enough to actually do. Only gripe is the video format felt limiting for something this hands-on — I think a room visit would have got us further, faster.
Booked one for my grandson's stammer and we both came away calmer with something to actually do. The video call was fine for what we needed — more of a guidance chat than hands-on therapy, so the format suited it.
I'm a nan looking after my grandson and the session was pitched nicely for me. But getting a small child to do speech activities over a video call was a non-starter — he lost interest in minutes. It really wants to be face to face.

Common questions
Is this proper speech and language therapy?
These sessions are delivered by HCPC-registered speech and language therapists and give you real, usable guidance. For a full course of clinical therapy, booking several sessions gives continuity; we'll always be honest if what you need is a formal NHS assessment.
Can the therapist see my child, or is it just me?
Either. Some sessions work best as a parent conversation; for others it helps to have your child on the call. We'll guide you on what suits your situation when you book.
