Not the same worksheet with more nagging. Four principles run through every hour.
Sprints, not marathons
Ten focused minutes, a real break, then the next sprint. An ADHD brain doesn't do fifty-minute stretches on demand, so the hour is built from pieces it can actually do, and the work gets finished instead of fought over.
Wobbling is working
Standing up, pacing while spelling, squeezing something while thinking: movement isn't the enemy of attention for these kids, it feeds it. At home nobody makes them sit still, so the energy goes into the maths.
Interest is the fuel
ADHD attention is interest-driven, not effort-driven. Tutors switch formats before boredom lands: a game, a timer, a challenge, your child teaching the tutor. The topic stays the same, the delivery keeps moving.
Teach the organising, not just the subject
Starting the task, breaking it down, keeping track of what's due: the skills school assumes are the skills ADHD makes hardest. Tutors teach them explicitly, on your child's real homework, until the scaffolding sticks.

Common questions
Do you assess or diagnose ADHD?
No. Diagnosis comes from a paediatrician or psychiatrist, and medication decisions belong with them too; we'll never blur that line. Our tutors teach in ways that suit ADHD brains, diagnosed or not. If you already have a report, an £80 'Understand a report' session turns its jargon into a plan.
Is this tutoring or ADHD coaching?
Both live in the same hour. The subject work is tutoring; the explicit teaching of starting, planning, organising and remembering is what coaches call executive function work. With children we've found separating the two is artificial: the maths homework is the coaching material.
My child refuses homework outright. Where would a tutor even start?
Not with homework. First sessions build the relationship on your child's terms, often through whatever they're into, because an ADHD child who likes their tutor will try things they'd refuse from a parent. The battles usually shrink once the work is happening with someone who isn't you.
Does online work for ADHD?
Often surprisingly well, at £60 an hour: sessions are short-burst by design, the tutor controls the pace, and there's no travel transition to derail the start. Some children do need in-person presence to stay anchored. If you're unsure, try one of each; there's no minimum commitment.
Can the tutor work with school?
Yes. The written note after each session is yours to share with the class teacher or SENCo, and tutors will align with school's schemes where they exist. If school support itself is the battle, our specialists help with that side separately.
How much does it cost?
£80 an hour at your home, £60 an hour online, and that's the whole price: no registration fee, no minimum number of hours, no subscription. If your child has an EHCP, an EOTAS package or personal budget can sometimes fund tutoring.
