We don't assess or diagnose. We teach.
A diagnosis comes from a specialist assessor or educational psychologist, and we'll never blur that line. Our tutors teach in the way that suits dyslexic learners, with or without the paperwork, and if you already have a report we'll help you actually use it.

Your tutor comes to you
One hour, one-to-one, at your home. Sessions are booked around family life: after school, weekends, school holidays. No centre, no travel, no waiting room, just your child at their own kitchen table with someone who gets them.
You hear how it went, every visit
After each hour you get the honest picture: what they worked on, what landed, and what's coming next. And because it's pick and mix, you can change what the hours cover whenever your child needs something different.

Common questions
Do you assess or diagnose dyslexia?
No. We don't do assessments or diagnosis of any kind; a formal diagnostic assessment comes from a specialist assessor or educational psychologist. What our tutors do is teach in the structured, multisensory way that suits dyslexic learners, diagnosis or not. And if you already have a report, an £80 'Decode a report' session will turn its jargon into a plan.
We don't have a diagnosis. Can we still book?
Yes. Waiting lists for assessment are long, and the teaching that helps doesn't need to wait. Tell us what you're seeing: slow, effortful reading, spelling that won't stick, written work that doesn't match what they say out loud. Tutors work from how your child learns.
What happens in the hours?
Structured literacy work in short, varied bursts: sounds and blending, spelling patterns taught as families rather than lists, writing built a sentence at a time, and always something your child chose because they enjoy it. The mix is pick and mix; you and the tutor shape it together.
How quickly will their reading improve?
We won't promise a timeline or a reading age; anyone who does is selling something. What parents tend to notice first is the temperature dropping: less dread around books, more willingness to have a go. The skills build from there, at your child's pace.
Can the tutor work with what school is doing?
Yes, and it works best that way. Tutors align with the school's phonics or spelling scheme where there is one, and the written note after each visit is yours to share with the class teacher or SENCo.
How much does it cost?
£60 an hour online, or £80 an hour in person at your home, and that's the whole price: no registration fee, no minimum number of hours, no subscription. Specialist dyslexia tutors are often quoted at £90 to £120 an hour; we think the price on the label should be one an ordinary family can sustain.
